Default grinding going into third?

Tonight was the first time I drove my car in a pretty good amount of rain, it would grind a little when I transfered to 3rd each time unless I let the tach/RPMs level back out before I did it. Any Ideas on why this could be happening, its fine when its dry outside. TIA

Mine does the same thing. Except sometimes it won't go into 1st at a stop, or third at mid-RPM's. I'm going to install a D&D rebuild kit and see how that works. I'm thinking it's worn out synchros.

I would say its the synchros. Start saving for a rebuild. It will be fine for a while just don't miss a gear.
Good Luck.

Mine does the same crap, my syncros have about 3k on them. Problem is I've got a cam going in and I wont be able to get into gear at 6300 or 6400.

I have a Mazda Protege with the same problem, grinding every 3rd shift or so. I'm a great driver, and I know its not me so I think its the synchros.
