Reverse Lockout Switch?????

Reverse Lockout Switch????? I just installed a new clutch from Monster, new flywheel. Everything is new. I bled the clutch pretty well. But I CANT get into reverse. Wont go at all. And its pretty tough to get into any other gear. Is this the reverse lockout acting up. Please help guys.

I just went out and checked all of the "Under the hood" fuese. They were all fine. I tried with the car off. Andcrazy enough, I CAN get it into reverse, with the car off. But then I crank it up and nothing. Wont go into reverse, and its pretty tough to get into all of the other gears.
It sounds to me like your clutch isn't releasing properly...reverse will usually be the hardest gear to get into when the clutch isn't fully released.
If you can get the shfiter into the reverse gate, just all the way to the right but not even trying to push forward yet, then it's not the reverse lockout. The lockout solenoid only prevents you from getting past the 5/6 gate to where the reverse gate is...once you're over in that gate, it doesn't prevent you from pushing forward into reverse...if thats where the difficulty lies...the problem is the clutch/clutch hydraulics.

It blocks 2nd and 3rd out if you get above a certian RPM in 1st Gear..makes you go to 4th. It's in the same area as the Rev. Lockout..very easy to get them swapped.

Ok, update time. I checked all of the connectors on the tranny. Any they are all good. And just like I thought, non of the connectors are interchangable. Damn, what now.?
Re-bleed the clutch. It's important to open the bleeder while the clutch pedal is being depressed...not just push the pedal down and then crack the bleeder.
You move fluid (and air bubbles) doing it the right way, and get results much faster.
Also, stick with cheap regular DOT-3 fluid. Plenty of people have had issues with certain synthetic brake fluids, including me.

Ok, so I have a date with the local tranny. Tranny SHOP that is. They are gonna use some sort of pressuring system, and force the fluid in and air out. I told them to BE CAREFUL and not to blow my seals..

I dont wanna say it shifts perfectly, but it does shift. The ONLY thing I did was replace the clutch, and threw a new motor in. The tranny performed flawlessly before.

Ok, Ive bled and bled. I have an appointment with a tranny shop on Monday. They said they have some sort of pressure bleeding system. But, listen to this. I was under the car checking all of the connections and noticed that the part of the slave that the hydrolic line snaps in to wobbles. Is that normal.?? I dont see any fluid leaking on the ground. I just didnt think that should move at all...

Holy crap, after stressing and just about tearing my tranny out. Come to find out the issue was the slave needed to be bled more. Thanks for all of your help guys.
