Question Need Help with Hydraulics

My slave died about 2 months ago. So I installed a new slave along with a monster clutch and a tick master. Everything works fine just driving normally. When I do high rpm shifts the pedal gets very soft. I have been changing out the fluid in the resevoir once a week with dot 4 because it is pretty dark, but it still goes soft.
How do you tell if there is air in the system?
Any ideas of what I can do?
This is the same problem that I had before my slave died. I thought replacing everything would fix it. guess I was wrong.

Since you have continued to see dark/discolored fluid in the reservior it's possible that you are either boiling fluid (likely the issue) or that you are having an issue with the new slave or master (less likely because these are new parts). The first thing I would check is the routing of the hydraulic lines. Make sure they are behind the heat-shield as they pass the headers. I also suggest wrapping the lines with a high-quality heat wrap. Flush the system and refill it with a good high-BP fluid, I recommend Motul RBF-600. Try this out and let us know what you find. Thanks,

I will give that a try. Any recommendation for a heat wrap.
Thanks.

I have this exact same problem.... Any time I really "step on it", my clutch pedal goes soft (sometimes even have to pull the pedal back off the floor)

Keep us posted on what you find out.

There are lots of good heat-wrap options on the market and I have used serveral types in the past without issue. I say use whats available near you...or you can order from any of the forum sponsors. You might want to check out www.koolmat.com, as they provide a number of good products. I am not affiliated with these guys and am not pushing their product I am simply offering you a suggestion from personal experience. Thanks,
