Getting ready to do a swap need advise so my buddy has an 01 Cobra made to look like an 03 cobra except for the tranny it still has the five speed (ugh 
). Now i got a tranny (T-56 
), but its off a 1998 TransAm. So my question is if i sell him my tranny can he put it in his Cobra if he gets a different clutch and the right bell housing.
also what else might he need if he can put it in his car, any light that anyone can shed on this situation will be greatly appreciated.

I know you will need a different Tail Shaft Housing and Front Plate.. not sure about the Mainshaft lenght, I believe the Input Shafts are different aswell..

Yeah, gonna need new midplate/bellhousing/input shaft/tailhousing/clutch for sure, and as Merv said, I too am not sure on mainshaft length, so, that, someone else will need to chime in. I know "thesource" is VERY knowledgeable on all the different models, so maybe he will chime in soon...
