1LE tranny mount...harder durometer rubber than stock and is the only option in between the stocker and the poly bushing. Costs about $20

You could try to put one washer in between the trans cross member and the floor of the car. This lowers the rear of the trans a little. I noticed when I did my swap the poly mount was a little thicker then the stock which basically raised the rear of the trans. The washer trick took care of most of my vibration.

Get the Prothane one. You just bolt it in. No wondering if you should use a plate or shaving down anything.

"You think that is bad, dont ever buy poly motor
mounts"

I disagree - best mod I've done to date for my H/C car. Took all the shaking out of the interior of the car.

I also have the poly torque arm mount ( via a R/T torque arm ) as well as the ES poly tranny mount with no plate and shaved nubs.

I got some vibrations when I went to poly. It makes me nervous because all I hear is how weak the A4 is and everytime I feel the vibrations I think to myself is my transmission about to go out?

I run a Prothane one and the first time I installed it the noise was bad.Took it out in an hour. Then I broke the stock one and had to reinstall it.After a couple weeks it was alot better(break in)but now I have a SPOHN torque arm, that brings noise in the car bad.

That s*cks, why on earth would they do that? That mount was the perfect replacement. They should have discontinued the stock piece of cr*p. If i had known that i would have bought a couple. GM

At idle I get the noise, but that is it.

Sure is better than the tranny tunnel getting slammed by the tranny with that stock piece of crap. It was a 01 mount as well. No good there. The poly has fixed all that!
