wierd crap with clutch

wierd crap with clutch okay the other day i was driving down the street and i noticed that when i let off the clutch(stock), it almost grinds against something and sticks. it only does this after it has engaged and during the area of "leeway." by this i mean the distance that you can push the clutch in without engaging it. i have no damn clue whats wrong with it. i only have 17k on the car and just headers and i dont rag it. only been to the track once with 4 passes. help is needed!!
It could at worse disenergrate.
But have seen people go a while with them making noise.
Maybe think about doin the clutch as well?
It is hard to diagnois sounds thru the board but maybe stop by a shop & let them listen to it.
Have you ever though of doing the clutch & throw out yourself??

yea i planned on getting a new clutch b/c the stock ones dont go too far. i just wanted to make sure that it would solve the problem if it is indeed the clutch. also, i put my headers in myself but i want to know how difficult replacing the clutch is compared to doing headers?
In some respects easier, but the trans weighs more than a header.
