Dropping T-56 got Question Ok, im dropping my T-56 cause it needs to be rebuild. Got everything disconnected, wires, torque arm, braces etc. Im bout to undo the 8 bolts thats hold trans to bellhousing. Question is, is there a way to drain the clutch fluid, besides trying to catch it all in a pan when i undo the 8 trans bolts and move the trans back from the bell housing on the jack?
Clutch fluid is housed in the slave and should not be an issue (you will see the slave once the transmission is separated)..
If you haven't drianed the transmission fluid yet, now is a good time, because the transmission will need to be tilted slightly to clear the exhaust (at least in a 2000 Camaro), and it will spill out the back of the transmission.

Drain fluid from tranny first.
For hydraulic/MC line, get you a small coffe can/plastic cup, etc...as when you disconnect MC line, you wll get some fluid that will come out of MC line. Not a whole lot, but it can make a mess, especially if in your driveway...
