Shifter question
To make it short I have a 2000 camaro t56 and iv'e been noticing that when i drop it in 2nd it goes way back to the point it hits the console. 4th and 6th are not as bad but really the throws are waaayyy to long and I dont know if it's the shifter or possibly something else. If it's the shifter thats ok I would be installing a pro 5.0 shifter anyways. thanks

before i installed my B&M shifter, I remember the throws being real long and 2nd going back a lot, but I dont think it hit the console though. a new shifter is defiantly worth it. I think its just the shifter, install the pro 5.0 and see how it works out.

Yea I know what ya mean bro. When I got my first M6 F-body I remeber the throws being long as hell. I got a hellva right arm workout. I think it's short shifter time for you my friend.

I first had the stock shift and stick, it did not do what you are saying, however when i had the short stick on the stock shifter and it hit the console just like you are saying going to 2nd, after the install of my pro 5.0 it is no where close to the console even with the short stick on it.
