Default lowering transmition

is there a special attachment i can put on my floor jack to lower the transmition? or do i have to buy a special jack? im doing the job on jackstands.

I got one like this for my large floor jack. Works pretty good except you have to get the car pretty high, otherwise the tranny and jack is still too tall to clear the bottom of the car. Make sure you got the wide stance type of jack and not the cheap skinny kind you get at Walmart.

At home in the garage a 16 inx16in of 1/4 inch plywood and a ratchet strap work great.

There should be a writeup somewhere for a clutch install in a Vette.It is not the same as a F-body.I was told you have to drop the front subframe.

Yeah.. lowering a Vette transmission is a whole other animal.
