So it sounds like the GTO LS2 flywheels are different than corvette LS2 flywheels, correct? I've got an '06 GTO LS2/T56. Been planning an LS7 clutch, guess I'll have to buy one of the kits with the vette style LS2/LS7 flywheels then?

Is my complete GTO clutch take-out worth anything? Probably cost more to ship than it's worth?!?!

thanks

02BLK...I was out of the office at PRI and have just noticed your response. Since you have had issues with and without the shim and with the OE bearing and ours it could be possible that your problem is hydraulic. Of course it seems that you have little interest in determining the actual cause at this point. If you would like to send the unit back to me for assessment I will be happy to check it out for you...that is what our warranty is for after-all. But, I suppose it's easier to just post negatively than it is to seek assistance from the manufacture . To each his own I suppose...if you change you mind let me know and I will still be happy to assist you! Have a good evening.

I've already asessed it when I replaced my stock clutch with yours I replaced all the hydraulics. I dont think its a hydraulic issue, so thanks but no thanks. And if you read on this board there are more guys then me having problems wuth your clutch. I had a guy PM me saying that him and 2 of his buddies run the same clutch and are all having the same issues. That could tell you something.

It seems that you are missing the point...if there is an issue and you or anyone else need/want assistance with finding it...you need to help us help you. We sell thousands of kits for this application and I don't have any rma's for people experiencing this issue. It's pretty clear at this point that you don't really want help...but that is your dicision to make. If anyone else needs assistance or has questions about this or any other clutch related tech issue/support feel free to ask. As most of you know, helping you is why I am here.

The issue is solved I bought another setup, since I drive this car everyday I cant have it sit on the lift and take up my space in the shop I work for and not have a way to work everyday. I understand you want to help me but I dont have time for that, this car has been giving me issues since I put your clutch setup in it and have had the transmission out of it 4 times trying to get it right and having to stay late to try and fix an issue and it not do anything. Sorry Im just gonna switch to an LS7 setup.

At least now you seem to understand that I was trying to help. Of course you have to make the call that is best for you regarding parts if you have an issue. If you need anything further just let me know. Thanks,

will some one please tell me if a LS1 style flywheel 98-02 camaro with a luk ls7 pressure plate and ls7 disk will work on a 2007 GMC 4.8L motor? I am not concerned about the disk, pressure plate and flywheel compatibly, as it is sold as a complete package on ebay. I just need to know weather it will bolt onto my crankshaft, and weather the balance will me right?

No, you need an LS2 / LS7 style flywheel.
Look at the steps around the edgeof the flywheel in the above pictures.

Default I have a question on this subject?

When I call up the GM version of the LS7 clutch it looks like the disk has some kind of gear on it. Can anyone explain this? Thank!

So to eliminate confusion, I would suggest ordering a complete kit like we sell here: http://www.tick-performance.com/tick...body/clutches/ or just buy LS7 specific part numbers.
I agree, hopefully people don't confuse the LS6 clutch from the 01-04 C5Z06 with the LS7 clutch from the 06-13 C6Z06

Not sure if it was a typo, but a stock LS7 clutch is 57lbs and the fidanza is ~13lbs lighter.

That is a dampened hub that gets turned by the input shaft of the transmission, hope that helps. Don't hesitate if you have any questions about a Monster clutch, Chris 817-750-2000
