Default Shifter install ?

When I Installed my shifter I put the RTV on the transmission part and I didn't let it sit for 15 mins before putting on the shifter. I re-read that I should've done that. Do you think It'll be ok or should I go and re-do it? I didn't know I was supposed to let it sit before putting on the shifter.

Yeah you will be fine and you don't have to wait 24 hours either.

Yeah, I put it all back together yesterday. So I just got done right now trying to take off my shifter to re-do it and that **** is glued on there and I can't pull it off. So I guess I'm just going to leave it as is. Thanks for the help everyone.

Youll be just fine.. I threw the girdle on my rear over a month ago, with just RTV, no wait and no leaks still. Besides, the shifter area doesnt see too much fluid anyway.

I didnt know we were supposed to do that until you said something lol. Ive never let mine sit, and I have to use a flathead to pry the shifter off the next time.
