Which Monster to pick Heavy drag strip usage, but also driven on the street.
Ill be launching 5k+ on ET streets, and would like to slightly slip the clutch.
Just a Cammed LS1 on a stock bottom end shot
So would you guys suggest the LVL 4 or higher? Also does anybody have Drag strip experience with them and how they respond to the abuse?

They're coming out with a twin disk in early 2010. However, all their single discs are on sale for a couple more days. I think. The level 3 is rated to 700 torque. You'll be fine at your power level with that and I've never heard anything bad about their clutches other than a small run of defective pressure plates. I know that was resolved a long time ago though. There isn't gonna be much slipping with a puck style clutch either.

dunno on motor but id imagine 400-430...that should easily cover it lol. Then a 150 shot on that. The thing I like about the single is i can upgrade the whole system for the price of a twin disk.

The only reason why id like to slip the clutch is to have a less suspension involved launch. Strange shocks will be going on also, so if its a dump and go...then so be it

I know what your saying but I've also seen numerous people say that when you have your suspension set up correctly, the stock rear shocks work just fine. If you put a good tire on it like a 28x10.5 slick, you'll be able to dump it from any rpm and it'll hook as long as everything is set up right. A buddy of mine is running 9.50's using the stock worn out rear shocks. He also drags the rear bumper all the time. That being said, I have strange double adjustables on the rear of mine. They just make everything easier.

I was thinking comp eng. in the rear and strange DA in the front. But just like your friends situation, everybody says to set the rears to 50/50 which is damn near stock from what I hear.

Do you speak from experience? I just ask because I DD a level 6 Monster, and I love it. It almost drives like stock. No chatter, and you can slip it out fairly easily once you get used to driving it.
I had a level 3 in my car for 23K and beat the **** out of it, on the street, and at the track with slicks on it. Sounds like a level 3 would work for you, but there really is no downside to picking a higher level clutch. The pedal effort increase is VERY minimal. If you are making ~450 on the motor, and squeezing 150 on top of that, you are probably getting semi-close to the torque rating on the level 3. I would at least get the level 4. You might just give Monster Clutches a call, and ask what they recommend for you. They know their **** and will get you set up with the right clutch for your needs.
BTW, they respond WELL to abuse. That is what they were built for. You will likely break other drive line parts before destroying one of their clutches.

My mods are similar cam plus bolt ons. But I told steve that I was gonna put some stock 243s and spray a 150 and he reccomened me the stage 3. Now I'm just waiting for my tick master and the speed bleeder. Then save up more money for a scatter shield
