Default Different Gear ratios

I am wanting to get my t56 rebuilt by tick shift but i want to drop the 6th gear ratio down to .62 or near and i was wondering where i would be able to get a different 6th gear with the lower ratio.

You wont be able to do just 6th..if you can find a Cluster and the Gears you can do both 5th and 6th to a lower Gear. Why not just change out the Gears in the Diff..that would be cheaper.

I know you can just do 6th. Because i like my 4.10s for drag, not soo much for gas mileage, soo if u change 6th u get the best of both worlds

^^Have you torn a T56 down?

Trust me you can't do just 6th..it's both 5&6, or none.

The M12 version of the T56 (Z06, CTS-V, GTO) had the gear ratios that you are looking for. We also got a steeper 2.97 1st gear. Maybe just as cheap to find a M12, and drop to a 3.73 or 3.90 rear gear.

Yes, you are going the wrong way. Stock 5th gear is 0.74:1.

^^ what he said?????
From What i've read the 5 and 6 gear tooth count is the same on mm6 and the mn12 transmissions, it's the input shaft that has a differnt tooth count and changes the ratios.
