Default will my tranny break if.........

I have 440 rwhp and plan on installing a monster stage 3 clutch,a midwest 9" rear and all supporting mods(driveshaft, lca's,shocks etc.

I pan to go to the track with some sticky tires and really run it,like 5k clutch dumps

Should i get a stronger bellhousing?
and do i need to worry about anything in the tranny breaking like input shaft or output shaft??

Is the trans in good condition otherwise?? No bearing noise, gear clash, popping out of gear, ect??

The T56 is a pretty damn strong transmission, as long as its in good condition I don't see it being a problem. I wouldn't worry about the bellhousing either, I don't think a blowproof bellhousing is necessary unless you're turning some really high RPM's or running single digit times.

I would highly recommend a blowproof bellhousing if you plan to dump it off the limiter on slicks. Clutch explosions are very dangerous and its good to be safe. Better to do it now while you've got the trans out for a clutch job anyway.

Absolutely get a SFI bellhousing. If you've ever taken a look at the stock one when it's off the car, it's pretty damn flimsy and won't protect **** if the clutch lets go. With over 400 whp like you have I would've done it by now. And like the last guy said, it'll be easy since the trannys already out.

alright i will do the bellhousing,do you guys have any recommendations on one.My car has 23k miles on it so if i can get by without tearing down the tranny and replacing input shafts and stuff then that would be great.Sounds like a bellhousing should get me covered.

Ive got the Quick Time. No fitment issues at all. Now I haven't been able to put the trans back in yet so I don't know if they're will be any issues when I do that, but it's a real nice looking piece.

There's no reason you should have to do anything with the trans.

For the bellhousing, I went with the Quicktime but won't have it on until next weekend and probably won't have the car running again for another few weeks. The Quicktime was the overwhelming consensus of the board over the McLeod.

i would def do a blow proof bellhousing. at your power level i'd say your input/output shafts should be fine. wat spline axles are in your 9" and is it a locker, spool, or a true track?
