Default slave cylinder

when one is going out how does it behave? its a 2000 z28 supposedly has the uprgraded hydraulics but i am noticing a soft pedal at times as well as hard and lazy shifts. it has a short shifter as well. its a intermitent problem that seems to be getting worse. it has an ls7 clutch that still grabs great

it could be either, but usually the lazy pedal is the master cylinder and thats always good to change out first anyway, since its under the hood and not in the bellhousing...i would try a new master cylinder with the drill mod or an aftermarket master cylinder and that should help..if not you know what to change next
