Crack in Monster Puck?

Crack in Monster Puck?
I'm installing a monster stage 3 right now, and when I went to put the clutch disk on I noticed a hairline crack that goes all the way through one of the pucks. Is this going to be a problem? Would it be safe to put in, or should I call monster and have them send me a new one. I would like to get my car going tonight, but if it isn't wise I'll wait. Any thoughts?

Ok, it isn't going in. Thanks for the responses guys. My worry is that this is a production issue and that if I were to put it in, the rest of the pucks may have a short life. I don't wanna take that chance. I have emailed Tick as well as Steve at Monster and are awaiting their response. I just don't feel comfortable using the disk with a crack like that in it. I know there was a rush to catch up with all the back orders, and have to wonder if this one just got by them. I have heard so much good feedback on this clutch that I just can't wait to get this figured out and installed.

Shipping damage was something I had thought about, the only thing is that the box it came in was not damaged, and the disk doesn't look like it was dropped or anything. I was actually very impressed by the boxed packages it came in. Hmmmm...It's hard to tell by looking at it. Anyway's, thanks for the quick response and I look forward to hearing from you.

By the looks of it this is a one off incident that happens sometimes and based on what most users experience seems to be with these clutches I'd say manufacturer defects are minimal. They are present in everything we buy though so it never hurts to double and TRIPLE check everything you wrench on your ride but dont lose any sleep over it just because this guy found a blip.
