Default T56 behind a big block?

Can this be done safely? Like viper spec or what would have to be done? going to be a very very stout engine

LT1-T56 bolts right up. LS-T56 can use an adapter plate to bolt up to any muncie/T10/T5/saginaw type clutch/bell behind older SBC/BBC motors. Typical upgrades apply to either type once you get the clutch/bell/FW situation decided. More info on the chevelle, pro-touring, thirdgen.org, etc. sites.
