Is this normal? Just completed engine swap and am noticing more noise before the swap. I only hear it at idle. I did go with a much larger cam 232/234/112 and installed poly motor mounts and 1LE tranny mount. It sounds like a knocking or rattling noise.... Just want to make sure I am not doing damage to the tranny. Thanks for any input.

Just tuned the idle higher and seems better...although I prefer a more lumpy idle... is the sound I am hearing the result of the big cam I just put in?

Poly motor mounts will squeak a bit more but it shouldn't be rattling. The big cam makes the - motor idle/lope different - therefore shakes it in the engine compartment different - therefore makes new noises and sounds when at idle then before the change. I would just double check to make sure everything is tight and seated properly in the engine compartment. Some squeaks and rattles are normal but if it sounds like something isn't right then something probably isn't right

I am just thinking the poly mounts are tranferring more movement to the tranny and shifer.. I just need to get the idle tuned smoother and the shaking will cease..???
