Kick that biatch out! |
Do 10 WOT clutch drops and see if that helps. But seriously, its a key problem. The trans will have to come out. While your at it D&D sells the upgraded 3-4 steel clutch fork for $44 dollars |
That is what all my buddys have said it probably is, and thanks for the info fellas. |
Yep, you more than likely bent the shift keys. Kick it out of gear and finish off the keys. They will break completely and fall to the bottom of the transmission. |

I would guess a broken slider key. It will pop out and drive like theres nothing wrong-- dont be fooled by that. The trans needs to be torn down before it causes a chain reaction of broken parts |

9 times out of 10, a stuck gear is from a broken synchro key. On 3-4 it can also be a bent/broken shift fork. Not much to do other than pull the trans and tear into it..

Yeah mine got stuck in fourth making a pull on the interstate last year, drove my buddy the rest of the way to his place then got back on the interstate and then on to another highway(about 10 miles or so) and it popped right out of gear. Just thought i would tell ya. |
mine did the same thing but I couldnt kick it out of gear for nothing apparently the rod that the shifter bolts to snaped. Most likely a shift fork though |

x3 samething happened to me.. pulling in to a parking lot going to downshift to go up a hill and got stuck in fourth.. had to get in the backseat and kick that fucker out. did it again on accident and took it for a drive and got the R's up and it shifted right out.. just dont do it that way or else youll need a new clutch too! i was putting a new one in at the time anyways! |
Hell at least yall went in a gear cause mine wouldn't go into none without a hitting and forcing the shifter into it but it's at my tuners shop. :( I'll be doing the viper upgrade long story short. |
