Default Need help identifying this clutch!

I bought this clutch disk, pressplate, and flywheel yesterday and plan on using it with my 2001 vette LS1 and 2000 F-body tranny. I have stock hydraulics.

I was told it was a LS2 and that it came with a 2006 vette crate motor. I have plans of either using all three parts or using just the flywheel and buying a LS7 clutch kit to make it stronger.

After doing lots of searches and looking at pictures and info, I'm not too sure it's not already a LS7 package. I don't see any gm #s on any of the pieces. The flywheel has a LUK # 120496901. Raybestos disk number looks like 3190 t16 02c205. Are there any Luk or Raygestos resources available to identify the parts? Or other ways to identify the parts.. (measurements, etc)?

Also, I believe I've read where my stock hydraulics and slave cylinder will work with the LS7. Is that true and is it true if this is a LS2 clutch kit? The pressplate has those 3 downward prongs for the slave and I didn't know if that will fit my existing ls1 slave.

Thanks,

That looks like the LS2 flywheel and LS7 clutch. Just a stock C6 Vette setup

Not doubting you TDP, but does anyone else have any input?? I'd like to know for sure if it's a LS2 or 7 before the teardown.

Also, will my stock ls1 slave work with either. Thanks

The LS7 clutch is meant to be used with the LS7 slave, which is about 1/2in taller.. I usually install a shim between the slave and trans in order to get the LS7 to release correctly.

Anyone else use a shim?

I'd like a little more input.... I've been an active member since '04.

Thanks TDP, Do you sell the shim you use?
