Default prothane trans mount problem

I was installing my trans mount today, and all i can say is thankfully it comes with 2 studs for i guess other applications. I followed the directions exactly for the torquing and what not. It says using a double nut method to thread the stud into the mount and then torque the trans mount nut to factory specs which is 77lb ft. Well before i reached that torque SNAP! the stud is broken. Thankfully the stud was sticking out far enough for me to pull out with a pair of pliers. So i put in the other stud and i hand tightened it to be safe. Anyone else have this problem or ever hear of it? Thanks.
