Synchro assembly question
Synchro assembly question I am installing the billet keys and updated springs on my new synchros and I have a question about spring orientation. The service manual says to locate the spring tab on the same key, but run the springs opposite directions on each side. A T56 rebuild write-up on here says to orient them the same direction on both sides. Which is correct or does it matter?

Look at the flat face of the synchro as if you're at the front of the car. Start at 12:00 and go clockwise. Rotate the assy. on a vertical axis & do the same.

also, youll read that the lines on the synchro rings should all point forward. mine, from the factory, pointed rearward. it makes no difference which way the synchro faces. just incase you have a question about it later on...
