Braided line question!

Braided line question! Okay I just recently put my clutch in and new fly, and I have everything back on it except the Steel Braided line that runs to the slave cylinder, and it wont go into the transmission, and my dad looked at it and it said it looks like the inside ridges are bent and they spin. So does anyone know if this is how it is supposed to look? or what?
