im fixin to do some swappin and buyin and more swappin and will end up with a built t-56 transmission. what do yall think about this setup?? i know little about trannies so all input is helpful and appreciated. thanks

Stage 3 Texas Motorsports built LSX Camaro/Trans Am T56 manual 6 speed transmission. This unit is completely rebuilt. It has carbon fiber syncronizer rings, steel 3-4 Viper shift fork, bronze fork pads, billet shift keys in the 1-2 and 3-4 syncronizer assemblies, new bearings, new seals and is race shimmed. It has zero miles on it since being rebuilt. Unit comes with a 1 year warranty for shift related issues and leaks.

that's a pretty common set of upgrades, and exactly what I'll be doing to mine. won't hold any more torque than a stock trans really but it'll take a LOT more abuse slamming gears. if you plan on making over 600ish hp you might want to look into the viper shaft upgrade, but otherwise that'll do quite nicely.

swap is done, took about 4 hours and a big a$$ plate of hot wings. i love it. the tranny shifts super smooth but is still a little notchy. gonna give it about 1000 miles before i start slamin through gears though. will let yall know how it is when i get to that point.

It will be a little notchy until everything breaks in. Usually 500 miles of easy driving will do the trick.
