Recently I have a had problem with getting out of 5th gear or downshifting from 5th. It goes into all gears including 5th fine, just does not come out easily from 5th. I have to pull hard to get it out, and sometimes it grinds when coming out. I know I need a rebuild, but wont be able to do that for a couple months. Could something be fixed or is there anything I can do until the rebuild ?

I didn't know you could do that. That's so awesome.


I would like 5th gear for gas mileage reasons and because its the gear I use the most around town. 4th to 6th is a big jump and needs a lot of mph to do so without bogging.

I did that when I was having synchro problems before the rebuild on my HOSS. ^^^^
