Default Will This Work???

I'm swapping a LS6 into my 69 Camaro and am trying to figure out my drivetrain. I'm using my Muncie 4 speed and need to know if this will work. I have a 621 bellhousing (for big clutch) LS6 flywheel, .4" flywheel spacer and bolts, pilot bearing for spacer. It looks like a LS6 pressure plate with a 10 spline disc for the Muncie shaft would mate up to the other parts using a long throw out bearing. I also have a Scoggins Dickie Z bar ball mount bracket. Thanks

I don't see why it wouldn't.

I can't tell if you're talking about having the hub for an LS_ disc changed out to 10-spline or using an 11" "old" disc with the LS_ pressure plate. Be careful on the i.d. and o.d. of the PP face, making sure it has correct friction area with the disc. If using old disc + LS PP, triple check the PP has clearance for the disc hub.

Mock up your extended pilot bushing and try and give it enough coverage of the input. Don't just hammer it into the crank as far as it will go if it can stay out a tiny bit and better support the input.

Napa has a really good TO bearing catalog (if you're patient) if you haven't found the right one yet.

I'm talking about a LS1 disc (and pressure plate) except it is 10 spline and the pilot bearing presses into the adaptor (which is between the crank and flywheel). I'm mocking it up tomorrow...hope I can see everything I need to see through the fork hole in the bell housing. Thanks

BTW,
You may not need the long TO brg., but don't rule out use of an adjustable Lakewood ballstud, or the longer available GM ballstud.

Mocked it up and found something no one ever mentioned...with the spacer in place, the flywheel teeth wouldn't clear the starter since it moved the FW back. I knew that wouldn't work so I mounted the bell housing to the motor with just the FW installed, then stabbed the Muncie...to my complete surprise, the tip of the shaft that rides in the pilot bearing looks like it is in the perfect position if I just install the P. bearing in the crank instead of the spacer. I'll try that tomorrow...
Hopefully there won't be any issues with where the disc rides on the shaft since this isn't supposed to work according to everything I've been reading over the past year. Wish me luck...
