Default t56 question

i have 1998 ls1 camaro and im needing a t56 for it and there is a guy selling one online. Its a t56 part# 1386-000-011 gm aftermarket t56. will this work on my car? i dont know much about the different t-56's so if anyone could help i would really appreciate dont wanna buy a transmission that wont work for me. Thanks.

If it's an aftermarket T56, I'd stay away.. The input shaft is too long, it won't mount an LS1 slave, and the shifter will sit forward too much.

It was designed as a direct replacement for the 3rdgen F-body T5 5-speed. The gearset was rated at 400lb-ft because of the smaller input shaft/countershaft interface and the wide-ratio gearing.
