Please Help I have a 98z28 92kish almost on it and im having tiny bits of gear troubles with it and slowly but surely its gotten worst within the past couple of months.
Getting into each gear is stiffer and just harder. Going from 1to2to3to4to5to6 is not a problem but if i wanna down shift from 4to3 it might grind if it don't do it light speed fast. Down shifting from 4to3 in lower speeds x<40 doesn't have the grinding problem but in higher speeds it does. and if i go high speed in 4th gear like 75-80ish and i want to change it to 5, it'll grind, i'd have to go to 6th.
I have no idea what the problem is? Syncros? Shifter? Or car just getting old? Any input or thought would be very helpful thanks

It sounds like an internal tranny problem due to normal wear and tear. Most likely, the tranny has never been into. Being 12yrs and 92k miles, it is about that time. It will only continue to get worse, so the sooner you get it rebuilt, the better.
