Default need help with t56 !!

im facing a problem with my t56 speed

its a chevrolet cr8 2009 model with 6 speed its a middle east version from the hsv holden in australia

short shifter is installed since 1 year no issues with it

ok first i cant change from fifth to 6 after on high rpm apprx. rpm 3000 and sounds like a big squeeze!!! i have to slow down and shift very slowly to get into the fifth gear

also the reverse i have to try more than 5 times until i can get the gear into the reverse gear and believe me im getting biceps excersize from it

the car has ls7 clutch and its still not slipping every thing is fine!!

plzzz help what do u think guys is the problem?

A 2009 M6 in the states would be a TR6060, not a T56. Can you verify it as being a T56?

You seem to indicate a problem going from 5->6, but then mention getting into 5th? Is this the same or a different problem? Upshifting, or downshifting?

How many miles on the transmission?

Clutch wear will show up more in the overdrive gears, and reverse wears the most of any gear in the T56. Worn synchros will usually affect only one or the paired gears. I'm not positive from your description, but you may have a clutch, a synchro, or both issues going on...

well im not sure whats the right name for new gearbox i thought theyr all called t56
however they all look somehow the same

miketpi i cant up shift from fourth > fifth espiacally on high rpms and a squeeze sound will occur

reverse !!! is also the same i have to use my 2 hands to push the gearbox into the reverse and mostly when done i hear a big pop sound !

the car has 45,000 kilometers but have been lil crazy sometimes

If it's only 5th and Rev, the probably cause would be work synchros on those two gears. I would try changing the fluid out and re-bleeding the hydraulics on the clutch just to be sure (and/or check for clutch drag). But it sounds like you just need a rebuild after the hard 45Km life.

i changed the fluid and the brake/clutch fluid oil was fine i think my clutch ran out

would it make these problems ? cuz even shifting now in all gears are not smooth as before but no grind sound on 1 , 2 , 3 ,4 !

As I mentioned in my first post above, clutch wear will show up as more pronounced in the higher (5, 6) gears..

It's pretty easy to test by going out on the highway and get up above 80Km/hr in 5th or 6th and go WOT.. If the clutch slips, the RPMs will climb faster than the MPH..
