Default what did i break t56

at certain rpms my 2nd gear will grind trying to go in and then pop out, but normally at higher rpms it will go in fine, also if i hold the shifter in real tight it has no problems, no grind or anything, but a normal shift at normal rpm it grinds and wont go in. higher goes in, pull and hold goes in, also i have a skip shift eliminator installed, could that be malfunctioning?

I really doubt that its a solenoid problem. If it were, then the issue would occur at any RPM. It's odd that it pops out at low RPMs and stays in at high RPMs. Thats the opposite of what normally happens when something is broken inside the trans. So that is what makes me think that you probably just have a few engagement teeth broken on 2nd gear or the outer synchro ring. I've also seen where the outer ring is cracked right in half.

Last time I had one coming out of gear it wound up being the pads gone and the fork worn down. All you can do is disassemble and see. You'll likely be replacing other stuff as well when you get into it and look everything over.

I would say the fork pads are worn off on the 2nd gear side of the 1/2 fork also.
