Default Help selecting a trans

I'm doing a engine swap in my 95 camaro. Was the 3.4 now I'm building a 357. It had the 5speed in it...how would I find out what trany it is? Or what manual transmission would be good for this build? Hoping to be around 450 horse

No you don't need a computer at all to run a T56 transmissions.

Okay this might seem like a dumb question but if I can't find a T56 and go with a automatic, don't I have to do swap in a master cylinder and something else? There's quite a few donar cars in st Louis but if push comes to shove I'll go auto for the track

There is a lot to change going from a stick to an auto. You will need to change the pedal assembly, shifter, console upper trim, and depending on that transmission you use the transmissions crossmember. If you aren't running fuel injection you will either have to run a TH350 or TH400 or any other none electronic transmissions. If you want to run a 4L60e or 4L80e you will have to run a transmission controller like a TCI T-con unit. Hope that helps you out.
