Default no first gear

so my clutch has been slipping ever since my dyno, and i didnt have my new slave cylinder yet so i couldnt install my new mcleod before the track. the first pass was only a 1.78 60' and everything seemed fine, the pedal was stuck to the floor as normal but it still shifter fine. did anther run and that was a 1.75 60' but i missed 3rd and let off. went to get my time slip and it wouldnt go into 1st gear. it will go in but it just grinds if i let the clutch out. drove home with only 2nd and up. could this be the clutch causing this or is my 1st gear shot? i know the clutch was slipping a ton on my last pass cuz i stuffed it in third and it slipped a ton. ive never heard of anyone blowing first so i wanna know if i shoiuld rebuild my tranny while its out or if a new clutch will solve this.
thanks

Definitely get the clutch fixed.. The 1st gear grinding is probably because it's not fully engaging.. Probable causes are 1) Shifter stop loosened up 2) fork pads broken 3) synchro keys broken.

Sounds like you should at least open up the trans and go through it (unless of course you find a shifter stop causing the engagement issue)

Sounds like something is going on with the 1-2 syncro assembly, either worn syncro/blocker ring, or damaged/broken keys in the 1-2 syncro assy.

Edit: oops, just notice that Mike covered that already lol...

Well that is odd. The tranny or clutch will never fix itself like that. It does sound like you may have something broken inside the trans on the 1-2 synchro. A key could have been damaged, and then broke completely causing the problems youre having.
If you need a new clutch, I sell the Diamond Clutch line. Check the websites in my sig. It's just $409 for a stage 2 and thats what most people go with. I also offer package deals with a T56 rebuild and clutch purchase. Let me know if I can help! Thanks

TDP, if you were a little closer i would def. be having you rebuild my tranny. that looks like a real good deal you have there. i already have a mcleod rxt sitting in my garage waiting to be installed as soon i get my new slave.
