Clutch question

It may not be as expensive as you think. I can give you a few very affordable options.
1) Stock replacement "LS6" clutch with 2000 miles on it (includes flywheel) & I can throw in a new pilot bearing & alignment tool - $180 shipped
or
2) New Diamond Clutch Stage 1 $369 shipped and resurface the flywheel at a local machine shop for $30-40. This clutch is much stronger than stock and is made to last 200k miles.
Either way, you will have to replace the slave cylinder if you end up doing a clutch install. I sell them for $80 or you can pick one up at your local parts store for the same price.
