Clutch engagement and release problems
The prob. that I am having is that the clutch disengages very low and then engages again very low (aobut three inches from the floor). I had to take off the rubber bumper off the clutch ped. stop to help aid in clutch disengagement.
I often have to Push hard just to get the car in gear. It gets better after the car warms up.
I bleed the system several times and even took it to the dealership to get them to bleed it. The ped. is a hell of alot harder also. I thought that the ped. pressure would not be much harder than stock. Whats up with that?
Not any better.
Need help
Funny thing is that today I just took the cap off the clutch res. and pumped the ped. a bunch of time ( the old way to bleed the system) and what do you know. I think I fixed the prob.
While I was pumping, I noticed that the ped. got a hell of a lot softer. I put it in gear and the release point got higher and the shifter got into gear easier. I put the cap back on and went for a drive and it seams to be back to normal.
Weird. I did this before and it didn't help. Last time when I did it, the engine was off. This time the engine was running.
Was the how I was supposed to do it the first time? If so I feel dumb as hell and I could have fixed this damn prob. months ago.
Peace out
Hey, next time please just add your .02 to help a modder out.
