Default Need a clutch, which one.

looks like i just burnt my clutch today on a 1-2 shift. i didn't think it would of lasted long with my new combo but i was at least hoping to get it to hold for one more time at the track. now i need to install a new one before friday so i can make it to a race. my two choses are, the Rev lock2 or Spec 3. these are all i can afford for now and i want to use the stock flywheel. i have heard good and bad about both but was wondering what yall would reqamend.

IMO and with your budget:

Of your 2, I'd go with the REV LOCK 2. McCleod has really stepped up with their clutches. www.thunderracing.com carries them - but it states will need some modification to be used on stock flywheel. Call them and find out what modifications are needed. http://www.slponline.com/browse_cat.asp?pagenum=3 (clearance items, 3rd page) has new stock flywheels for like $50. Doubt you could get your flywheel resurfaced for that. Also, get a new slave - just safe insurance. If you haven't done the drill-out mod - do it www.installuniversity.com .

To my knowledge (which isn't a ****-pot full) GM never fixed the restriction in the the slave to master line. Of course I could be wrong.
