Default Clutch Help

Car is a 2000 LS1 M6. Can you tell me the symptoms of a slipping clutch? I have a stock clutch and my car is putting down 426/414. Basically it feels like it just losses power sometimes and its very sluggish. Then all of a sudden it will just feel like all the power is back. I just wanna make sure this is my problem and not a tuning issue. Obviously I want to get a new clutch as well. What would be a good somewhat cheap option. I want a good clutch but dont wanna break the bank. I dont plan on taking the car to the track and I dont really race it all that much. As far as future mods I might go FAST intake so it needs to handle around 450 HP but that will prob be a while. Thanks for all the help.

With that power it's either slipping or it's on the way out.

Give us a call, we've got our clutches on sale right now till the end of the month!

Thanks for the recommendation Bandit! The 3+ would be a great option. Of course, for the power/torque that splitfinger is making he could easily use a Stage 2 or 2+. Here is a link to our page for the LS1:

Keep in mind that your description doesn't inherently mean the clutch is slipping. When you feel the loss of power do you notice the RPM's increase without the car gaining any speed? If so then that is clutch (or tire) slippage. If not, then you may be seeing a problem with the tune or with fuel delivery as mentioned by Bandit. It could be a fuel-filter issue, bad gas, or even an injector problem (along with other possibilities). Let me know if you have any further questions and I will be happy to assist you. Thanks,
