LS1/LS2 Clutch help Need to know if anyone knows the following:
Can you mate an LS2 clutch and pressure plate up to an LS1 flywheel? I know there is a dimension difference...causing a weight difference...but is the bolt pattern the same? Thanks!

LS1 cars utilize a flat flywheel. Corvette based LS2 cars use a recessed flywheel and require a pressure-plate that is designed around this. That being said you need to either go all LS1 or all LS2. I would suggest getting an aftermarket kit though as these will provide better torque capacity and performance than the LS2 type clutch can. You can resurface your LS1 flywheel as long as it hasn't been aggressively machined in the past. Let me know if you have any further questions and I will be happy to assist you further. Thanks!!
