am i screwed Well it was nice out yesterday and i was driving my car along the twisties on a straight away i pushed it...... i shifted from 2nd - 3rd and grrrr it started to grind, i instantly threw it into neutral. The thing is when i went to put it back into 3rd it wouldnt go in, all it does is grind and fire it out of third. So now i shift from 2nd to 4th.... no 3rd for me. Now my prob is... will the dealership fix this, im still under warranty ? I have an offroad pipe and a cutout.... should i put the cats back on, or does it matter? Also can they say i was driving too fast or anything, or blame anything else. and finally is there a recal on the 3rd gear cuz everyone seems to be screwing it up ?

Synchros are fried. Mine's getting fixed as I type this. They can say whatever they want, but technically they have to be able to prove that a certain mod contributed to the problem. Obviously you're more likely to screw up the synchros if you drive hard, but they can't prove that you were. Good luck!
