drill mod and bleeding the system, can i do it easy?

Default drill mod and bleeding the system, can i do it easy?

can i do the drill mod with everthing on the car still, and how do i bleed it and clean it all out? ive been wanting to do this casue my clutch sucks, and i figured this might help out until i get a new one. my clutch catches at different levels it seems all the time and sometimes feels like its not holding as good. what kinda fluid is it btw? dot 3?

yeah i saw on there they had the whole new master, well i was wondering if i could do it on my car. unless im lookin on the wrong section, where they put the new master cyl in

Just do it w/o the new master if thats what you chose.
But I think it is in a couple of articles & it explains the drill mod.

I dont really think you can do the drill mod on the car. Its a pretty tite fit. If you can get the roll pin out-do the drill mod-and put the line and roll pin back in; MY hats off to ya. Its just ten bolts that stand in your way of doing it really easy! 4-brake booster bolts, 2 brake master cylinder, 2 abs bracket bolts, and the 2 clutch master cylinder bolts. BAM free to work. brake booster will be out of your way so you can work freely. As far as bleeding, I for one am a fan of the MITYVAC, man does it make things easy. Conventional bleeding just doesnt really get all the air out.

well i can get under the car real easy does that make it better? where do i need to drill out? is it on the end of the quick disconnect part?

I was going to try to do this with the master cylinder in and changed my mind. Just follow the install university guide and take it out. One issue of note. The drill bit they mention is too large. I can't remember which one I used but it was 1 size smaller. The one that is mentioned will actually take away part of the connector. Take it out. Do the drill mod. Bench bleed it and put it back in. It's pretty easy. I had issues, but I think they were related to the cold and the seals not seating right on the Master. Clutch works great now. I also was missing the plastic ring on the quick disconnect on the slave.

The MITY VAC looks like a little paint sprayer gun. It is used to draw a vacuum. It has a guage and all that jazz to show you psi. check out this link. http://www.phpinc.biz/clutchbleed.html I tried to bleed my hydraulics conventionally and my clutch pedal felt like crap. I found this website and followed it step by step.The MITY VAC pulled a ton of air out that i did not get when i bled the system conventionally Pedal feels awesome now. You can get MITY VACs at pep boys...o and chek out da cool wings on isle 5 while your there
