Updated slave help!

Updated slave help! Just purchased SPEC stage 3 and need to update my hydrolics too. My question is, rather than pay the $100+ price of the GM part for the 01+ updated slave, would it be alright to get like a replacement piece from an Advance or Auto Zone? Its only like 65 bucks there, But its the same part # listed for all years. I guess this could be because they discontinued the old ones when they updated in 01, ya think? Just tryin' to save a few $$$$'s. 
12565145 has been superceded to a 15046288 which is closer to $90+
Order it under the old # & see if it'll fly & you get the new #, I dont think there are any old 145's around anywhere.

Yeah, I bought it the other day from gmpartsdirect.com. It was 100 bucks with shipping, but thats better than 150+ at the dealership. It cost 16 bucks just for shipping, and I only live about 2 and a half hours from the dealership that runs the site! I could pick it up, but they won't deal directly with the public. They only ship. Oh, well. I guess it would have cost me almost that in gas to get there and back anyway.
