Default Slave difference

Is there a difference between the 01-02 slave and the 98-00 slave?
If so, is one better than the other

I saw a site advertise this:

Camaro/Firebird 98-2002 LS1 6speed Slave Cylinder w/ Throw Out Bearing, New GM, shipping is not included, this is the 2001-2002 Slave Cylinder, but you can upgrade you 98-2000 to this version.

Yes, the 01-02 is the upgraded slave. It is saying you can use it in your pre 01 model. That's the one you want.

GM no longer makes the 98-00 version of the slave cylinder. The only one you can buy is the 01-02 style, which we sell here: http://www.tickperformance.com/gm-sl...or-ls1-f-body/

Greg the one Tick showed you is the one you want. If yours had died earlier we could have added it to the order I had coming in. Ybnormal and I picked it up at the place in Niagara I told you about on Saturday.

If your going to drop the trans. to replace the slave I'd consider replacing/upgrading the clutch at the same time. It's not a job I'd want to have to do myself or pay to do twice. Also not that I want to take a sale away from one of my favorite sponsor but you can get the exact same slave cylinder from Autozone for $65, any slave that has an AP cast into it and is made in Mexico and not China is the same as a "Genuine" GM slave cylinder, GM doesn't make the part AP does.
