LQ4 + MN12 starter problem
LQ4 + MN12 starter problem Me and my buddy just put the finishing touches on his 91 firebird and the starter only clicks but wont turn over it sounds like the gear comes out but just doesnt spin we had a 700r4 and the stock LQ4 flexplate it worked fine its a brand new LS1 starter the 700R4 only lasted like 200 miles before it started slipping (it was used unit) so . I pulled it down while still connected and cranked it over and it works fine it just seems to be hitting something or not engaging correctly is there something im missing??? Do i need a different started now that the 6 speed is in there can anyone help?
