Default Please Help, Tick MC adjustment issues!!!!

Finally got some clear weather to try and fine tune my tick MC. I can finally get into third, however I cannot get into fourth at high RPM. The pedal actually goes a little spongy, The Clutch pedal is currently only a small amount lower than the brake pedal, and I don't want to over adjust and mess anything up. I'm thinking I may need to do some more bleeding, but please anyone chime in. I would really like someone from Tick to comment.

How's your slave cylinder? Is it new/old? It's odd to me that you can get into 2nd/3rd but not 4th. I adjusted mine to where I could shift over 6k, and then went a little further and my pedal is halfway between the floor and the brake pedal... I'm wondering if you have another issue, or if it may be your 3-4 synchro?

Previous owner said he had a new one installed. the pedal gets spongy from 3-4 at 6k. My pedal is right at the brake now.

I've never had the spongy pedal only happen during certain gears... that's so weird to me. Hopefully Joey or one of the other Tick guys or the other M6 gurus will chime in soon. Sorry to hear you're havin trouble! Just a thought, what clutch/pp are you using?

Spongy is normally air, maybe try bleeding it again or maybe you need a new slave.

Maybe there is still air in the line? The only way I was able to bleed mine well enough was by bringing the clutch pedal out about a 1/2 inch higher then my brake pedal, and bleeding it like that. I could never get the clutch to bleed right till I did that.

I'll try that again this weekend. A lot of brake fluid is coming out when I'm bleeding it though. That is the only thing that is making me doubt it.

It feels fine, until high rpm shifts into 4th. I'm gonna do some more bleeding friday, and if that doesn't solve it I'll call tick monday. I think there still might be some air in the lines.

If I remember correctly, I think the instructions in the tick M/C said something about the clutch pedal should not be level with the brake pedal, so you may want to make some more adjustments!

Not to hijack this thread but I have noticed every time I crack the bleeder it takes 100+ pumps to build pressure again. I can pump the pedal all day and it never gets firm..... Until I drive it then it slowly comes back to firm. This is with a tick master and new slave

I did a whole lot more bleeding and It seems to have done the trick. They said with every clutch it would be different so I think where mine is, is just fine. Slightly below the brake pedal, this thing shifts amazingly.
