t56 problem
t56 problem Hey guys i just picked up my 2nd F body 98 z28 6spd 174k on the clock.
My problem is that I can only get 3rd and 4th at low speeds 25 and below or it grinds. Other then that trans is fine doesn't pop out of gear no noise fluid is good also.
Im guessing it might be my master or slave or both but is seems to hold fluid, I do have a problem with the pedal coming 100% of the way up at time some times its only 75%. If this has been covered already please post a link because i could not find anything.

he means skip shift that in the sense that if you are completely stock there is a solenoid in the tranny that will make you shift from 1 to 4 when under 2/3 throttle however that would have no effect on the clutch. my guess is that your hydraulics are shot and need to be replaced the clutch pedal not returning is a sure sign, and also with 178k on it i'd be in the market for a new clutch while i was down there..
It would be a trans issue if the aluminum fork is still in there( 3/4) Also, if it had a life of clash-shifts, it would progressivly get harder & harder to get a smooth 3/4 shift.
