forks gone bad?
forks gone bad? hey..since i installed my new rear end.....my trans decided to go, and in part i think is was my fault, because i drove the car when i had no travel clearance between my slip yoke and the tail shaft. I've been told that maybe the drive shaft slip yoke when in too far and bend the forks? could this be possible or should i look into something else?, its really hard to get the car on gear now, and a nightmare to get it out of gear. what can be happening here? I've had the car down form about 5 month now i just don't wanna dish out 2k + on a new trans if mine is still usable. Thanks in advance for any input.
Not possible. The forks might have issues but its not from the driveshaft yoke being pushed in too far.
As far as the hard getting in and out of gear, is this with the engine running or is it doing it with the engine off as well.

its doing it with the engine on and off, everything started when i put the rearend in, since it is a 9" it required a longer drive-shaft, so after the swap i drove the car for a few miles just to brake it in, but the drive-shaft angle wasn't set right, and the yoke was tucked in too far into the trans....then i was driving one day and i got stock in fourth gear at a traffic light, but i manage to get it off, and ever since it has gotten worse and worse.
