fourth grinds when goin in
fourth grinds when goin in My third wouldn't go in at all. but fourth would.. I bought the stage 2 rebuilt Kit n just finished installing it. Test drove it n now third goes in fine but 4th grinds.. What could b the problem? I wonder if my clutch is goin bad. any help will b appreciated.

No one has any suggestions.. I forgot to mention that like the last day before I did my tranny rebuild I couldn't move the shifter.. It was super hard to move.. If I played with it a lil it would get loose to where I could change gears. Any help will really b appreciated..

On my old 97 z I had the same problem. Me and my buddy actually got stranded out in the country on a road in the middle of no were at like 2 am one night. Went to grab 3rd gear nothing was there, then I could not get it to go into any of the gears what so ever it was just in Neutral and the shifter felt really tight. After sitting there for two hours and getting impatient, I slammed it into reverse and revd it a little bit 2-3k and popped the clutch, car started going backwards then I stopped and it finally went into 1st-2nd- 4th-5th and 6th. Drove it like that for about a week and on my way home from best buy I noticed my rpms were going up and down but i was going the same speed, eventually I made it to a intersection and the car would barely go, pulled off into a gas station and she wouldnt go any further, had it towed home, pulled the tranny, sent it to tick and the repair bill was almost 2 grand. I guess the tranny was completely shot. Needless to say I just went and bought a used one with a 90 day warranty, installed it, worked great and then a week later got into a bad accident and completely totaled out that car.

I just got done putting some in.. I guess I'll pull it back out n tear it apart again.. What should I look for? Maybe a worn gear? Or could it b that its not shim properly? No one can help meet out with done advice.
