Default Trans R&R

A quick question guys, can I remove and install the 6spd trans without looseing the header bolts to swing the headers outward for added clearence ?? 98Z28

YEP!
Just did mine a few weeks ago. You will have to remove headers back tho. Very straight forward removal. Remove shifter ****, boot, and rubber boot inside. Then remove exhaust (from headers back). Then remove driveshaft. Uplug all the sensors of the trans. Unbolt crossmember that hold trans tail shaft to body of the car. Then remove the bolts holding the trans to the bellhousing (you probably will need to have jack or something to support the trans as you remove it from the car).
