i just bought a 2000 z28 when you drive it right it shifts fine when you get on it dont want take 2nd gear and grinds when you go to 4th

Could be a bad pilot bearing, bad 4th gear syncro, bad slave cylinder for maybe the shifter stop has worked loose if its an after market shifter.

it is stock shifter and i can change gears with out the clutch with no grinding so dont think its syncro
