Default Thinner Trans Mount

Is there a thinner transmission mount available for our T56's? I swapped a T56 into my Silverado and it appears the rear of the trans is sitting too high causing the whole assembly to rotate forward and the y-pipe to hit the floor board.

Is the Energy Suspension mount thicker than a stock or Prothane mount? I know it has that stupid pre-load plate. Even 1/4" thinner would help a ton.

Did some calling today to get the heights of transmission mounts.

Energy Suspension:
1108 = 1.937"
1142 = 1.537"
1158 = 1.437

Prothane = 1.770"

I'm using the ES 1108 so I will try their 1142 or 1158 instead.

Can anyone measure the height of their stock trans mount?

I ended up buying all three of the ES mounts and the 1108 and 1142 were the same height (1.937") and 1158 was about 1/2" shorter. The information I posted was what ES told me, and was inconsistent with what I received from Jegs. Between the 1108 and 1142, one has a slightly different shape to the polyurethane part, otherwise they were identical.

Any of these will bolt to a T56 and probably lots of other GM transmissions. I used an 1158 on my T56 swap into my Silverado.

Leave out the ES pre-load plate, I've run my Camaro without the pre-load plate and with the pre-load bumps removed for ~8yrs,

What do you mean by the preload bumps? The two polyurethane bumps that stick up and go against the preload plate? If so, the difference between the 1108 and 1142 is that the 1108 has the bumps and the 1142 does not.

All three came with the same preload plate though.

Yeah but at least the 3.1142 is actually listed for 1982-2002 camaro and firebirds, where the 3.1108 is basically a universal GM mount.
