Default Got a New Shifter!

For those of you who know, I swapped a Tremec T56 magnum into my 02 Z28. Not the F-body specific one, but a general T56 magnum with the 6 bolt shifter base. Because of the non-specific application, I had to have a shifter made with a 2" rearward offset. The ONLY company I could find will remain nameless because it was AWFUL! Stiffer than I ever imagined, I had to think about every gear I shifted.

Every shift to reverse was a two-hand ordeal (LOL) and I discovered it was because the springs in the shifter were binding! I wanted the stock (T56 Magnum) shifter back, but no one makes an offset for these shifters anymore. So I went to a machinist. With a block of aluminum and a tap-and-die set, I got this:

FINALLY! Now I have to wonder, how come no machinist is making these offsets?
